Mandy and Joe/ Real Wedding/ Old Florida

One of the greatest joys of planning weddings is getting to know our couples and those they love the most to the point where we stop being friends and colleagues and suddenly feel as though we have become members of their family. That’s how I have long felt about Mandy and Joe’s riverside celebration.

From the moment we started working together, I knew Mandy and Joe were special. These two emit joy together and when they’re apart, and they’re also so welcoming to everyone in their circle. They wanted to honor their hometown in thoughtful ways, and they wanted to host a celebration where they would be able to delight their guests.  I think it’s safe to say we accomplished that and more.

Knowing they wanted to honor their hometown allowed me to dig deeper into the things that make it feel like home to them. The church where they recited their vows was important; the greenery featured in the centerpieces were from their property; and everyone celebrated inside a glowing tent by the river they both love on a site the went back in the brides family in early 1900.

From our first meeting through our planning; their ceremony through their final dance, I loved working with Mandy and Joe. I know we’re not supposed to choose favorite couples or even admit when we have chosen, but Mandy and Joe and their celebration will forever shine brightest to me. I adored working with these two, and I still adore them today.
