Taylor and Wes/ Real Wedding/ Colorful Home Wedding

When Taylor told me she was getting married, I was so excited for her and Wes (I actually meet Wes when I did Taylor sister's wedding a few years prior and I justs knew that was going to the start of something special). Then she told that she wanted a small wedding at home and I was like "Oh Yes, building spaces from the ground up are my jam!". She wanted the string lights and everything outside under the stars. She wanted to make sure that the Tree that Wes proposed to her under was made a centerpiece of the wedding as well.

Taylor has a beautiful and bright personality and I wanted her wedding to reflect that.  She picked a color palette of mint, turquoise and with shades of pink and corals that really popped against the green and wooded space of their property. We brought in string lights and farm tables to work with the natural surroundings and then made different centerpieces for each table. We hung lanterns and glass globes from the Tree, Wes proposed under.

Of course, the cake was a show stopper, as Taylor also happens to be owner and designer at For the Love of Cake. However, the swiss cake rolls (groom's favorite dessert/snack) almost stole the show, along with his mother famous Banana Pudding.

In all it was a perfect day- the weather was perfect, the food to die for and the relaxed, fun and family environment was what we believe made this day great.
